Scott doesn’t publish height figures: the size guide on each bike’s page is a bar chart across five bands (under 165 cm, 165-175, 175-185, 185-195 and over 195). We measured those bars on Scott’s official charts (Scott guides checked in October 2026), rounded them to the centimeter, and show them next to the figures retailer Bike Room publishes from Scott’s data. The two sources agree within 1 cm, which is as precise as the chart itself. We converted the centimeters to feet and inches, rounded to the nearest inch.

Scott road bike sizes: Addict RC, Addict, Foil RC and Speedster

All four use the same chart: the Addict RC is the lightweight race bike, the Foil RC the aero bike, the Addict the endurance bike and the Speedster the aluminum bike. The size number from Scott’s geometry chart is in parentheses.

Stack is the height of the head tube above the bottom bracket and reach the horizontal distance from the bottom bracket to the head tube. In the same size, the Addict puts the bars 2 to 3.5 cm higher than the Addict RC.

Scott gravel bike sizes: Speedster Gravel

The chart for the Speedster Gravel, the aluminum gravel bike, is identical to the road one.

We’ve left out the carbon Addict Gravel: Scott’s chart gives it the same ranges as the road bike, but the retailer we use as a cross-check publishes different ones and we couldn’t work out which are right.

Scott mountain bike sizes: Spark RC

The Spark RC is Scott’s cross-country race full-suspension bike.

SizeHeight (Scott chart)Height (Bike Room)

The Scale (hardtail) and the Spark DC have their own charts. On the Scale, the retailer’s figures are up to 3 cm off Scott’s chart, and for the Spark DC we found no second source, so we don’t list them.

If you’re between two sizes

Scott’s bars overlap by 1.5 to 3.5 cm (about ½ to 1½ inches): at 5 ft 7 in (170 cm) you get an S or an M, and at 6 ft 1 in (185 cm), an L or an XL. To decide:

  • On road bikes, going up a size raises the bars a lot and adds little length: the Addict RC’s stack grows 12 to 22 mm per size and its reach only 3 to 8 mm. If in doubt, the smaller size with a spacer or two under the stem usually fits better.
  • On mountain bikes, the smaller size is more agile on twisty trails; the larger one, more stable on descents and long rides.
  • Smartfit: each bike’s page on scott-sports.com has a tool that asks for your measurements and gives you a size.

Measure your inseam as described in how to find your bike size, get a starting size from the bike size calculator, and compare the two candidate sizes, or your current bike, in the bike geometry comparison. To see what size you’d ride in other brands, check the size chart by brand.

Frequently asked questions

What size Scott Addict RC do I need if I'm 5'9"?

A medium (54), which Scott's chart shows for 5 ft 7 in to 5 ft 10 in (170-178 cm). It's the same size on the Addict, Foil RC, Speedster and Speedster Gravel.

What do Scott's 47, 49, 52, 54… sizes mean?

They're the size names in Scott's geometry charts: XXS is the 47, XS the 49, S the 52, M the 54, L the 56, XL the 58 and XXL the 61. On the bike's product page you'll only see the letter.

Why aren't Scott's numbers exact?

Because Scott doesn't publish numbers: it draws one bar per size across 10 cm (about 4 in) height bands. The figures come from measuring those bars, with a margin of about 1 cm (under half an inch). If you're on the edge, the Smartfit tool on the product page asks for your measurements and gives you a size.

Are the Addict and Addict RC the same fit in the same size?

They have the same height ranges, but the endurance Addict has a head tube 2 to 3.5 cm taller and the bars a little closer: in a medium, 578 mm of stack versus 543 mm on the Addict RC.
