Canyon sells direct online and doesn’t publish a single size chart: each model’s spec page lists its height range per size next to the geometry. These are the ranges for its best-selling bikes, taken from those pages (Canyon geometry checked in October 2026) and cross-checked with the Bike Insights database, which carries the same figures from canyon.com. Canyon gives the ranges in centimeters; we converted them to feet and inches, rounded to the nearest inch, so go by the centimeters if you’re right on a line. Sizes run 2XS to 2XL on road and gravel bikes and XS to XL on mountain bikes.

Canyon road bike sizes by height

The Ultimate (climbing bike) and the Aeroad (aero bike) share ranges. The Endurace, more comfortable and with a taller front end, uses its own.

Canyon gravel bike sizes by height

The Grail (race gravel) and the Grizl (adventure, in carbon and aluminum) use the same height ranges as the Ultimate, but the Grizl has a much taller front end.

Canyon mountain bike sizes by height

The Neuron (trail), Grand Canyon (hardtail), Exceed (XC hardtail) and Lux Trail share ranges. The Spectral (light enduro) has overlapping ranges, because its reach grows a lot from one size to the next.

If you’re between two sizes

Canyon’s ranges touch end to end: at 5 ft 10 in (178 cm) you get a small or a medium on the Ultimate. When that happens, decide with the geometry, not the letter:

  • Reach (the horizontal distance from the bottom bracket to the head tube): if you have long arms and torso, or you felt cramped on your last bike, go larger.
  • Stack (the height of the head tube): if your back bothers you or you want a more upright position, a smaller frame with more spacers under the stem is easier to dial in than a larger one with the stem slammed.
  • Inseam: long legs for your height mean a shorter torso, which points to the smaller size with more seatpost showing; short legs point to the larger one. That’s why Canyon’s PPS tool asks for it.

To fine-tune, measure your inseam as described in how to find your bike size, get a starting size from the bike size calculator, and put the two candidate sizes, or your current bike, into the bike geometry comparison. If you’re torn between brands, the size chart by brand puts Canyon next to the others.

Frequently asked questions

What size Canyon do I need if I'm 5'9"?

On the road, a small on the Ultimate and Aeroad (5 ft 8 in to 5 ft 10 in, 172-178 cm) and also a small on the Endurace (171-178 cm). On the mountain side, on a Neuron, Grand Canyon or Exceed, a medium (175-183 cm).

Are Canyon sizes the same on every model?

No. The letters are the same, but the height range changes: a medium Ultimate is for 178-184 cm (5 ft 10 in to 6 ft) and a medium Endurace for 178-185 cm, while a medium Spectral runs from 172 to 185 cm (5 ft 8 in to 6 ft 1 in). Always check the column for your model.

What if I'm between two Canyon sizes?

Compare the reach (horizontal distance to the bars) of the two sizes: on the Ultimate it goes from 393 mm in a medium to 401 mm in a large. With long arms and torso or a race position, go larger; if you prefer to sit more upright, go smaller.

Does Canyon take inseam into account?

Yes. Its PPS sizing tool asks for height and inseam and can recommend a different size than the height chart. The public spec pages for each model only list the height range.
